Orlando International Airport (MCO) announced yesterday its first-ever nonstop flights from Orlando to Tokyo, marking a major milestone in Central Florida’s growing global connectivity.

The new direct route between MCO and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) is scheduled to launch in February 2026, offering travelers a convenient link between Central Florida and Japan. The inaugural flights are planned for these dates:

  • February 23
  • February 28
  • March 5
  • March 10

This new addition will provide a flight time of approximately 14 to 15 hours each way, giving both leisure and business travelers direct access between two popular destinations. The route is expected to boost tourism, strengthen business relationships, and enhance cultural exchange between Florida and Japan.

“Our partnership with Zipair is more than just a new route – it’s history,” Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO Lance Lyttle said in a news release. “The partnership is a testament to the economic strength we share between our communities. We look forward to welcoming Zipair passengers with the warmth and hospitality that both our nations cherish.”

The Orlando to Tokyo nonstop flights will make MCO one of the few U.S. airports offering direct service to Japan, positioning the city as a stronger player in the global travel market. Officials also expect the new route to attract international visitors to Central Florida’s theme parks, resorts, and cultural attractions while offering Florida residents easier access to Asia.

With this new Tokyo to Orlando nonstop service, MCO continues to expand its international reach – bringing Central Florida closer than ever to the heart of Asia.

Ticket sales and additional flight details will be announced soon. Travelers can visit MCO’s website for updates, schedules, and booking information.
