New Restaurants Galore
Don’t you just love the evolution of Orlando’s dining scene? Get ready to experience a significant transformation this February with the opening of three innovative new restaurants.
Ômo by Jont: A New Culinary Landmark
First on the list of new restaurants is Ômo by Jont, scheduled to open its doors on Feb. 1. This innovative restaurant, under the guidance of Chef Ryan Ratino, whose Washington D.C. concept Jônt has earned two Michelin stars for three consecutive years, takes over the space previously occupied by Sushi Pop. Ômo aims to redefine the dining experience by dissolving the barriers between the kitchen and guests. It promises an immersive tasting menu inspired by Japanese cuisine and global flavors, highlighting the restaurant’s commitment to culinary creativity and innovation.
Address: 115 E. Lyman Ave.
Poke Burri: A Fusion Cuisine Pioneer
Poke Burri, also opening on Feb.1, introduces a novel concept to Florida. This unique entrant in the new restaurants category combines traditional Japanese sushi with American comfort food. Set to open in Winter Garden, Poke Burri offers a customizable dining experience with its poke bowls. Diners can create their perfect meal from various fresh proteins, colorful toppings, and flavorful sauces. Adding a full bar elevates the casual dining experience, making Poke Burri a go-to spot in Orlando’s vibrant food scene.

Helena Modern Riviera: Mediterranean Elegance
Completing the trio of new restaurants is Helena Modern Riviera. Set to transform the former site of Tapa Toro at ICON Park into a Mediterranean oasis, Helena plans a soft opening on Feb.14 with an exclusive Valentine’s Day event. The restaurant will feature modern Mediterranean cuisine, bringing dishes that transport guests to the coasts of Italy, France, and Spain. From branzino to lamb and watermelon feta salad, the menu celebrates bright, bold flavors. The restaurant’s coastal-chic design, complemented by live entertainment, aims to create an inviting and sophisticated dining atmosphere.
