Our mission. To inform and connect Central Florida communities with accurate, useful and locally grounded stories.
Independence. Editorial decisions are made by our editors. Advertisers, sponsors and business partners, including businesses affiliated with our owner, do not approve, review or change news coverage before publication. When we cover a business connected to our ownership, we disclose that connection in the story.
Sourcing and accuracy. We verify facts with primary sources wherever possible: people directly involved, public records, official statements and our own reporting. We attribute information to its source and identify images by their source or photographer. We do not knowingly publish false or misleading information.
Bylines and dates. Every story carries the name of the person who wrote it, linked to an author page with a short biography, plus the publication date. When we materially update a story, we show the updated date and note what changed.
Story types. We label content clearly: news and local stories; features and guides; opinion (marked “Opinion”); sponsored content (marked “Sponsored”); and collaborative or contributed articles (marked as such, with the contributor identified).
