While non-Florida residents might hear the words “I want to drink around the world” and think about drinking across the globe in different countries, Floridians know that “drinking around the world” is exclusive to Epcot at Disney World. This has become more of a trend in recent years, making it easy to find videos of families or friends celebrating graduations, 21st birthdays, or just a Tuesday filled with drinks from each country in Epcot. So, we wanted to experience this for ourselves and take you along with us.
Before getting started with the tour, it is important to remember that going to a theme park in the middle of a Florida summer needs preparation. Remember to follow this guide which includes drinking plenty of water, pacing yourself, having plenty of food, and wearing sunscreen. Hence, why we drank halfway around the world.
Our Journey
We started out in Canada and stopped at the Canada Popcorn Cart to grab the Ottawa Apple. This refreshing drink is made with Canadian whisky, maple, apple infusion, and cranberry juice and costs $16.50. It was a delicious drink for those looking for a less alcohol tasting, more fruity option.

With that drink down the hatch, our optimism was high as we set out to the next location: the United Kingdom. At the Rose & Crown Pub, we decided to try the Leaping Leprechaun. This tangy drink is made of Jameson Irish whisky, Don Q Cristal rum, SVEDKA vodka, melon liquor, and sweet-and-sour topped with Sprite. Here, unfortunately, is where spirits lowered a bit. This drink did not go down as easily, and we found it undoing the refreshed feeling we had from the Ottawa Apple. As we continued to drink, it continued to go down in our rating, but after spending $16.50, we were determined to finish it.

The next country was France where we got the Orange Slush. At $14.95, this drink can be found at Les Vins des Chefs de France and consists of Grand Marnier, rum, Grey Goose orange, and orange juice. What was interesting about this drink is it lives up to its title and has the same (if not a little thinner) consistency of a slushie. This drink went down much smoother than the leprechaun and we found it a good cool down on the hot day.

The next stop was Mexico where we stopped by the Chaza de Margarita for a Mango Loco Frozen Margarita. At $14.50 this twist on a margarita has tequila, orange liqueur, wild passion fruit and mango purée. The mango margarita was not very different from a regular margarita, but the mango gave it a gentle kick.

We skipped past a few countries and before we knew it, we were in Germany. We remembered Germany had something we didn’t: chocolate shots. We walked into Weinkeller and at $12 a piece, we got Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur shots. This did taste quite chocolatey with equal parts liquor, but beyond that, there is not really much that stands out about this drink.

At 94 degrees, the Florida sun was getting to us and we realized we might have to settle for only drinking halfway around the world. Even though we only made it from Canada to Germany, we’d still call it a successful adventure and proof that there’s no wrong way to experience Epcot. Take your time, stay hydrated, enjoy plenty of snacks along the way, and don’t feel pressured to visit every country in one day. Sometimes the best memories come from slowing down and savoring each stop.
Stay tuned for Part Two, where we’ll continue our journey through the remaining World Showcase pavilions to see if the second half lives up to the first.
