As Orlando is commonly known as the “Theme Park Capital of the World,” the City Beautiful received another recognition in May.
Cvent, one of the largest event and hospitality technology companies globally, named Orlando the Top Meeting Destination in North America 2026. The study cited the city as a top meetings and events destination featuring a diverse range of options for event planners.
Orlando achieved this recognition for the 11th time since first receiving the Cvent Top Meeting Destination award from the organization in 2015.
The annual global list recognized cities that stand out for their appeal to group business and their commitment to corporate event success. Cvent evaluated over 14,000 cities worldwide listed on the Cvent Supplier Network, tracked between January 2025 and December 2025.
Following Orlando, within the top five meeting destinations were U.S. cities Las Vegas (2), Nashville (3), Chicago (4), and Dallas (5).
“Being recognized by Cvent for the 11th year demonstrates that Orlando is not only top of mind for meeting planners, but also a destination that delivers,” president and chief executive officer of Visit Orlando Casandra Matej said a press release. “Through platforms like Cvent, planners from around the world identify destinations and submit opportunities for meetings and events. Visit Orlando works with our community to connect those planners with the right hotels, venues and local partners, helping turn that interest into booked events — leading the nation in converting meeting opportunities into real business.”
Orlando area convention hotels and resorts were also listed in Cvent’s Top 250 Meeting Hotels in North America 2026, where four reached within the top 20 spots, including the Orlando World Center Marriott (12), Hyatt Regency Orlando (16), JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes (18), and Hilton Orlando (19).
Cvent called Orlando a place that offers world-class event spaces, Michelin-recognized dining, and larger-than-life entertainment. The organization said it has a long track record of partnering with planners to craft unforgettable experiences for attendees.
Cvent also highlighted key statistics of how Orlando received the recognition, including the city featuring 550 special event venues, 497 hotels, an average room rate of $192.98, and 6,090 restaurants at an average food cost of $59.
Orlando’s 11th recognition as the top meeting destination shows that the City Beautiful can be not only for pleasure, but for business as well.
