One of the nation’s oldest and most beloved ice cream establishments is set to bring its iconic flavors to Orlando next month. The Original Rainbow Cone, a Chicago institution since the 1920s, has announced the grand opening of its latest location, scheduled for Friday, March 7.

The highly anticipated event will take place at 461 North Alafaya Trail in the Waterford Lakes Town Center, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Ice cream enthusiasts are invited to join the festivities and experience the shop’s signature offerings firsthand.

Known for its unique approach to serving ice cream—sliced rather than scooped—Rainbow Cone boasts an array of flavors, including Cookie Dough, Butter Pecan, Black Walnut, and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Customers can personalize their treats with a variety of toppings, or enjoy their selections in the form of sundaes and shakes.

Adding to the excitement, the first 99 visitors on opening day will receive a free cone, making this a must-attend event for ice cream lovers. Those eager to secure their spot in line can RSVP and stay updated through the official event page.

With its rich history and distinctive flavors, The Original Rainbow Cone promises to be a delightful addition to Orlando’s dessert scene.
