Halloween is getting a monster-sized makeover at SeaWorld Orlando this fall. The park’s popular Halloween Spooktacular returns on select dates from August 29 through November 1. The event will bring families a daytime Halloween celebration filled with trick-or-treating, character meet-and-greets, festive treats, and plenty of kid-friendly fun.
And this year, there’s a brand-new reason to visit: characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania are making their Spooktacular debut.
The family-friendly Halloween event is included with regular park admission, giving guests the chance to dress up, explore a 12-station trick-or-treat trail and enjoy a variety of seasonal activities throughout the park.
Check In to the Monster Dread & Breakfast
One of the biggest new additions is the separately ticketed Hotel Transylvania Breakfast, where families can step inside the world of Drac, Mavis, and their monster friends.
Drac and Mavis have transformed SeaWorld’s SeaFire Inn into the Monster Dread & Breakfast, complete with monster-themed decor, luggage, playful “house rules,” and plenty of nods to the Hotel Transylvania movies.
The experience includes an all-you-care-to-enjoy Monster Breakfast Buffet featuring items such as Drac’s Brown Sugar Glazed Ham, Wayne’s “Howling Breakfast Favorites,” Mavis’ Morning Magic French Toast Sticks, and Dennis’ Little Monster Corner, along with fresh fruit, pastries, and more.
Guests can also meet Drac, Mavis, and their friends, take photos inside Drac’s vacation home, dance, and enjoy interactive entertainment.
More Fun for Families
The Hotel Transylvania experience is just one of several attractions returning for Spooktacular.
Families can follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail, featuring 12 candy stations throughout the park. A Spooktacular trick-or-treat reusable bag is required to participate.
Fans of Hotel Transylvania can also join Mavis and Johnny for a Hotel Transylvania Dance Party, while younger visitors can meet Spookley the Square Pumpkin, whose message of kindness and acceptance is at the heart of his character.

For families navigating food allergies, SeaWorld is also bringing back its Teal Pumpkin Program. Guests can collect teal tokens at the trick-or-treat stations and exchange them for allergy-friendly treats at Coconut Bay Traders.
Come in Costume
Guests are encouraged to embrace the Halloween spirit and dress up for the event. Children and adults can wear their favorite costumes or seasonal attire, although guests ages 13 and older cannot wear costume masks or hoods. Face painting is allowed when done by SeaWorld artists.
Also, there will be plenty of seasonal food and drinks to sample throughout the park. This year’s offerings include the Mummy Dog, an all-beef hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough and decorated to look like a mummy, and Trick-or-Treat Crunch Popcorn, featuring caramel popcorn topped with M&M’s, gummy candies, and chocolate drizzle.
Guests can also cool down with freshly squeezed lemonades in flavors including Cotton Candy, Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, Watermelon and Cherry.
With trick-or-treating, monsters, mermaids, pumpkins, seasonal food and new Hotel Transylvania experiences, SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular offers families plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween without the scares.
Halloween Spooktacular runs on select dates from Aug. 29 through Nov. 1, and is included with park admission. The Hotel Transylvania Breakfast is a separately ticketed experience.
