SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Sprint 5K returns Friday, Sept. 18, inviting participants to race through the park after dark as frightening creatures, eerie pathways and scare zones become part of the course.
The race begins at 7 p.m., with participants running past roller coasters and through areas of the park filled with Halloween-themed scares and surprises.
Following the race, runners will receive access to Howl-O-Scream, SeaWorld Orlando’s annual Halloween event featuring haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and beverages, and more.
Each paid Howl-O-Sprint participant will receive a commemorative race T-shirt, custom finisher medal, complimentary race-day parking and a complimentary Howl-O-Scream ticket valid Sept. 18 through Oct. 31, 2026. Participants will also receive a special “GUEST” deluxe bib.
The race is limited to 2,000 participants.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Prizes include VIP tours, Fear Passes and exclusive Howl-O-Scream merchandise.
Friends and family members who want to attend can purchase a $39.95 Spectator Ticket. Spectators can watch the race and then continue into Howl-O-Scream following the event. Spectator tickets are valid only on Sept. 18 and do not include a complimentary return ticket to Howl-O-Scream.
Schedule
Parking opens at 5 p.m., followed by registration and packet pickup at 5:30 p.m. The race begins at 7 p.m., with the awards ceremony and Howl-O-Scream access beginning at 8 p.m. SeaWorld Orlando closes at midnight.
Howl-O-Sprint will take place at SeaWorld Orlando, 7007 SeaWorld Drive, Orlando, FL 32821.
Howl-O-Scream is intended for mature audiences and includes intense adult content, including violence, gore and blood. Costumes are not permitted.
Guests who aren’t participating in the race can still attend Howl-O-Scream, with tickets starting at $45.99 each when purchasing two or more tickets, while supplies last.
