Orlando Ballet is stepping into its 2026–2027 season with a lineup that blends beloved classics, imaginative new productions and returning audience favorites.
The upcoming season will bring five mainstage productions to Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, taking audiences from enchanted kingdoms and holiday wonderlands to the streets of Paris and fantastical worlds inspired by literature and legend.
“This season is a reflection of where we’ve been and where we’re going,” said Artistic Director Jorden Morris. “It honors the beauty of ballet’s heritage while embracing bold new voices, and we are proud to welcome both returning guests and newcomers into works that feel timeless in spirit and alive with discovery, imagination and joy.”
Season ticket packages are currently on sale, with flexible two-, three-, and four-show options available. Full four-show packages start at $102.20. The Nutcracker is not included in season packages but is available as a special add-on.
The Sleeping Beauty
October 15–18, 2026
The season begins with one of ballet’s most enduring fairy tales: The Sleeping Beauty.
Featuring live orchestration by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, the production follows Princess Aurora from her christening, where the vengeful Carabosse places a curse on her, to the enchanted kingdom’s eventual rescue by Prince Florimund.
With elaborate pageantry, sweeping romance, and the familiar story of good triumphing over evil, The Sleeping Beauty offers an opportunity to experience one of ballet’s great classical works onstage with live music.
The Nutcracker
December 4–27, 2026
Brought by Orlando Health, no holiday season would be complete without The Nutcracker, and Orlando Ballet is bringing back its production with more performances and an even more immersive experience for families.
Choreographed by Artistic Director Jorden Morris, the production follows Clara through a magical Christmas Eve filled with dramatic battles, sparkling snow, and larger-than-life scenery.
This year marks the production’s biggest performance schedule yet, including new post-Christmas performances on Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
Several performances are designated as family-friendly, with relaxed re-entry available throughout the show. Families can also arrive early for festive activities including crown decorating, snowflake-making, Nutcracker story time, an interactive dance class, face painting, and themed photo opportunities.

Alice in Wonderland
February 11–14, 2027
After the holidays, Orlando Ballet heads down the rabbit hole with Alice in Wonderland.
Choreographed by Kenneth Tindall, the production follows young Alice after she abandons her lessons to chase a hurried White Rabbit into a strange and colorful world where the ordinary rules no longer apply.
Audiences can expect inventive choreography, theatrical storytelling, and a fantastical setting filled with curiosity and surprises. Tindall previously brought his work Carmen to Orlando Ballet in 2026 and Casanova in 2024.
Director’s Collection: Paquita, Miroirs, Deverell
April 2–4, 2027
For audiences who enjoy seeing the versatility of ballet, Director’s Collection offers three very different works in one program.
The evening begins with Paquita, a showcase of classical ballet featuring highlights from the full-length work. Newly staged by Associate Artistic Director Lisa Thorn Morris, the production is designed to put the technical skill and artistry of Orlando Ballet’s dancers front and center.
Next comes Miroirs by Mark Godden, who returns to Orlando Ballet following last season’s Angels in the Architecture. Set to music by Maurice Ravel, the piece explores reflections, symmetry and movement through an atmospheric contemporary lens.
The program concludes with Deverell, an original work by Jorden Morris inspired by his Celtic heritage.
Drawing on Celtic music, landscapes and folklore, the ballet explores the connections between people, nature and legend. The production builds toward a celebration of Celtic dance and music, including a featured pas de deux set to the Welsh folk song The Ash Grove.
Moulin Rouge® The Ballet
May 6–9, 2027
The season closes with a return to one of Orlando Ballet’s popular productions: Moulin Rouge® The Ballet.
Created by Jorden Morris, the production returns to Orlando after its last presentation in 2023 and transports audiences to the glamorous and turbulent world of Paris’s legendary Moulin Rouge.
The story centers on Matthew, a young man whose life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Nathalie, a laundress with ambitions that extend far beyond her circumstances.
As Nathalie’s talents attract the attention of Zidler, owner of the Moulin Rouge, she becomes caught up in a world of ambition, competition, and complicated relationships. Love, jealousy and artistic ambition collide as Nathalie rises through the ranks.
Combining expressive choreography, dramatic storytelling and the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century Paris, Moulin Rouge® The Ballet offers a passionate finale to Orlando Ballet’s 2026–2027 season.
