Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors Black freedom, culture, and resilience. Across Central Florida, communities are marking the holiday with festivals, live entertainment, educational programs, and family-friendly gatherings.

From jazz performances in Winter Park to waterfront celebrations in Clermont, here’s where you can celebrate Juneteenth this weekend.

5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

When: Saturday, June 20, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Waterfront Park, Clermont

The city of Clermont will host its fifth annual Juneteenth celebration at Waterfront Park. The event will feature live performances, local vendors, and a variety of food offerings, creating a festive atmosphere for families and community members to come together in celebration.

Polk Pride in the Park

When: Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Munn Park, Lakeland

One of the region’s largest free community festivals, Polk Pride in the Park, combines Juneteenth observances with Pride celebrations. Attendees can expect a day filled with live entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, and opportunities to connect with community organizations.

Love & Liberation: A Juneteenth Pride Celebration

When: Saturday, June 20, from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Where: Central Florida Fairgrounds, Orlando

Hosted at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, this celebration highlights the intersection of Black and LGBTQIA+ identities. Guests can enjoy soul food vendors, live music, shopping opportunities, and performances throughout the day.

Juneteenth Jazz & Jubilee

When: Saturday, June 20, from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Where: Hannibal Square, Winter Park

Set in the historic Hannibal Square neighborhood, Juneteenth Jazz & Jubilee offers an evening of outdoor entertainment celebrating Black culture through music. The event invites attendees to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a night of jazz and community fellowship. This is a ticketed event. 

Cocoa Arts & Cultural Celebration

When: Saturday, June 20, from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Where: Cocoa Riverfront Park, Cocoa Beach

The Cocoa Arts & Cultural Celebration returns to Cocoa Riverfront Park as a free event open to the public. The gathering will showcase local talent and celebrate African American heritage through art, performances, and cultural experiences.

Apopka Juneteenth Parade & Festival

When: Saturday, June 20

Where: Alonzo Williams Park, Apopka

The annual Apopka Juneteenth Parade & Festival will bring the community together for a day of celebration and remembrance. Festivities include a parade, family activities, entertainment, and opportunities to support local businesses and organizations.

Juneteenth Fest

When: Saturday, June 20, from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Where: Pettis Park, New Smyrna Beach

Residents and visitors in Volusia County can head to Pettis Park for Juneteenth Fest. The event aims to celebrate freedom and community through music, food, and activities designed for attendees of all ages. This is a free event. 

Foto Fest, Volume IV: Juneteenth Edition

When: Saturday, June 20, from 6:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Where: Belle Ave Studios, Winter Springs

Art lovers can experience Juneteenth through a visual lens at Foto Fest, Volume IV: Juneteenth Edition. The photography exhibition at Belle Ave Studios highlights creative expression and storytelling through powerful imagery.
