Adding to the antics in the Arctic, SeaWorld Orlando has officially debuted its all-new Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice attraction, giving guests an immersive journey through some of the planet’s most extreme frozen landscapes.
The highly anticipated attraction opened exclusively to SeaWorld Orlando Pass Members on May 23 before officially opening to the general public on Memorial Day, May 25.
“Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice is one of the most ambitious and immersive attractions we have ever created,” Justin Newton, senior vice president of project delivery for United Parks & Resorts, SeaWorld’s parent company, said in a press release. “From the moment guests step inside the Arctic research station, every detail has been designed to fully transport them into this frozen world and leave them questioning how it was even possible.”
The attraction takes guests on a visually stunning, story-driven expedition through the Arctic’s dramatic natural environments. Riders soar above erupting volcanoes, glide across frozen glaciers, dive beneath icy waters, and journey alongside Arctic wildlife, including beluga whales, sperm whales, seals, and polar bears.

Guests begin their experience inside a newly transformed Arctic research outpost, complete with immersive themed environments, mission control stations, and a pre-launch briefing from a research scientist preparing visitors for their expedition ahead.
Using SeaWorld Orlando’s state-of-the-art ride system and a high-definition cinematic experience, Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice is designed to blur the line between simulation and reality through dynamic motion, storytelling, and breathtaking visuals.
In addition to delivering a family-friendly thrill experience, the attraction reflects SeaWorld Orlando’s continued focus on combining entertainment with environmental education and conservation messaging. Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice highlights the beauty of the Arctic ecosystem while encouraging guests to better understand and care for the wildlife that call it home.
