A Whole New Look

MetroWest celebrates its $1.5 million signage renovation to enhance the community’s appearance.

MetroWest is celebrating the completion of a $1.5 million signage renovation project, including the iconic monuments that mark the entrances to the community and all wayfinding signs.

The project encompassed renovation of a total of 30 community signs and included an across-the-board new landscape design to complement the new signage. This is the first time in MetroWest’s 34-year history that a comprehensive signage renovation has been undertaken.

“Our goal was to enhance MetroWest’s appearance and public image with new signage that is updated, elegant and pleasing to the eye,” MetroWest Master Association General Manager Julie Sanchez says. “The new signage features a softened color palette for a timeless look that will carry our community into its next several decades.”

The new signage integrates natural materials such as stone and uses nature-inspired patterns and symbols to add artful detail.

The signage renovation was done by Media 1 Identity Solutions of Longwood with Dix.Hite+Partners, also of Longwood, handling the landscape design.
