A blowout bar, a health-focused restaurant, a beloved ice cream shop, and dozens of large-scale murals are among the latest additions coming to Lake Nona West. The highly anticipated retail and dining destination is set to open this summer and will be a 405,000-square-foot development.
Tavistock Development Company recently announced four new tenants, including Drybar, Just Salad, Gloss Nail Co., and Kilwins Ice Cream.
Located on 54 acres along Lake Nona Boulevard, the walkable center is designed to serve both the area’s rapidly growing residential population and the increasing number of visitors and professionals working in the Lake Nona region.
The newest businesses add another layer to a tenant lineup that already includes retailers like Target, Barnes & Noble, Sephora, Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Homesense, and Total Wine & More. Dining options are also expanding with Canonita, an elevated Mexican restaurant concept from Tavistock Restaurant Collection.
The announcement reflects a broader trend occurring across Central Florida as developers move away from traditional shopping centers in favor of lifestyle-focused destinations that offer retail, dining, wellness, and entertainment in one location.
“With Lake Nona among Central Florida’s fastest-growing communities, demand for convenient, high-quality retail and dining has surged,” said Joanne Ling, Senior Director of Commercial Sales, Leasing and Development at Tavistock Development Company.
Beyond shops and restaurants, Lake Nona West plans to also lean into public art.
Miami-based creative studio Chalk & Brush will create 30 murals throughout the development, making it the company’s largest installation to date. Founded by Cuban-born artist Cinthia “Cynno” Santos, the studio is known for colorful, large-scale murals that often become local landmarks.
According to Tavistock, the artwork will be integrated throughout buildings and pedestrian corridors, drawing inspiration from Central Florida’s native wildlife, plant life, and the diverse communities. The goal is to create a destination that feels uniquely tied to Lake Nona rather than a typical retail center.
The mural program builds on Lake Nona’s long-standing emphasis on public art and placemaking. The community is already home to numerous installations, including the Sculpture Garden adjacent to the Lake Nona Wave Hotel.
The development will also feature shaded walkways, outdoor gathering spaces, and a 20-stall Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging hub capable of ultra-fast electric vehicle charging, allowing visitors to charge their vehicles while shopping or dining.
