Where To Play Pickleball Around Orlando

What began with three bored fathers on Bainbridge Island, Washington, in 1965, has exploded into today’s recreational phenomenon: pickleball. Pickleball is a paddle sport that blends tennis, badminton, and table tennis, sweeping the nation as a fun, casual, and competitive activity. Lucky for the Central Florida community, there are various indoor and outdoor courts available for anyone to play.

USTA National Campus

Location: 10000 USTA Boulevard

Price: $20.00 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Weekends 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Play Pickleball singles or doubles at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus, a tennis training center and tournament venue in Lake Nona. Book your own outdoor court for leisure play, sign up for tournaments or events, or enroll in private lessons at one of the campus’s 100 tennis courts.

ClearOne Sports Centre

Location: 4141 John Young Parkway

Price: $10 on nights and Weekends, $7 on weekdays

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Weekends 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

ClearOne Sports Centre offers opportunities for Pickleball players of all skill levels. Play a casual game of doubles or compete with others on the intermediate or advanced indoor courts. Those picking up a Pickleball paddle for the first time can enroll in beginner classes or private lessons with one of three coaches. Reservations for all areas are required.

Cady Way Park

Location: 2525 Cady Way

Price: No free

Hours: Daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m

Cady Way Park holds a variety of park features and amenities, including two tennis courts and six pickleball courts. Whether you’re a Winter Park resident or not, the park offers enough room for you and your duo to dominate the court.

Dover Shores Community Center

Location: 1400 Gaston Foster Road

Price: No fee

Hours: Sunday from 1-6 p.m., Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Dover Shores Community Center offers six outdoor hard courts free to use with no reservation required. The center is surrounded by individual fences to prevent stray balls and is well-lit to keep your eyes on the action.

Orlando Racket Sports

Location: 7059 S Orange Blossom Trail

Price: Monday-Friday Daytime Session (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is $10 per player, Evening Session (4 p.m. to 10 p.m.) is $13 per player, Weekends during all business hours are $13 per player/

Hours: Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Drop in daily for open-play pickleball at the Orlando Racket Sports (ORS) indoor courts. Organized play is also offered at ORS, including a fixed partner and an advanced round robin format on select days of the week. Players interested in joining a league can sign up for its weekly Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating Leagues HERE.

Oviedo Recreation & Parks

Location: 148 Oviedo Boulevard 

Price: $3 per visit for resident members, $5 per visit for non-resident non-members

Hours: Gymnasium & Aquatic Facility: Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

Whether you’re an Oviedo resident or not, the Oviedo Gymnasium and Aquatic Facility offers three indoor wood courts for any level of play.

Crush Yard

Location: 7840 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway

Price: Morning Play drop-in fee is $15, Open play sessions after 10 a.m. starting at $9

Hours: Daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Crush Yard provides a variety of ways to play for all pickleball fanatics. From court rentals (starting at $48 per hour) to classes (starting at $25 per hour), the venue’s 10 indoor courts invite guests for an easy and fun experience.

Pickle X

Location: 6100 Hanging Moss Road

Price: Open play varies from $10 to $16 on select dates

Hours: Daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., 24/7 access for members

Visit Pickle X for open play, clinics and events, including “Glow Pickleball Open Play,” where the indoor courts illuminate in neon colors. Schedule time slots with one of its five coaches to sharpen your skills on the court. Memberships start at $69.

Downey Park

Location: 10107 Flowers Avenue

Price: No fee

Hours: Summer 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Get active in the summer heat with pickleball at Downey Park, with its eight outdoor hard courts. The park also offers picnic pavilions for a brief break before returning to dominating the court.

The Picklr (Orlando North)

Location: 474 South Hunt Club Boulevard

Price: Drop-in/Day Rates start around $30

Hours: Daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Bring a partner or find a community for open play at The Picklr Orlando North. The venue offers multiple memberships, including a 15-day adult trial for $30, during which you can discover your style of play through the venue’s leagues, clinics, and competitive play.

Invite your friends or family for an easy, fun activity out in the Florida sun or in an air-conditioned sports facility at any of these courts. Pickleball invites people of all ages to stay active while having a great time.
