SeaWorld Orlando is set to dazzle guests this summer with an all-new nighttime drone show debuting this weekend as part of its Summer Spectacular festival, running through September 1. The high-tech aerial display, synchronized to fireworks and music, will light up the skies on select nights throughout the season.

Beginning in June, SeaWorld will combine its Ignite Fireworks Spectacular with a mesmerizing drone show set to the upbeat track “Feeling Electric.” The display features hundreds of synchronized drones painting glowing images of sea creatures, ocean waves, and bursts of color above the park’s central lake. As the drones morph into a sky full of illuminated “fireflies,” the show seamlessly transitions into a fireworks finale.

The drone show is produced by Nova Sky Stories, a company founded by Kimbal Musk, brother of tech entrepreneur Elon Musk. According to SeaWorld, the show aims to elevate the nighttime experience with an innovative fusion of technology and storytelling.

Beyond the nighttime entertainment, SeaWorld’s Summer Spectacular includes a full lineup of new and returning seasonal attractions:

  • Expedition Ocean: A First-of-Its-Kind Ride
Now open, Expedition Ocean offers a groundbreaking flying theater experience that takes guests on a cinematic journey over the Arctic. The immersive ride includes real-world aerial footage and close-up encounters with Arctic wildlife.

  • HydroSurge at Nautilus Theater
This cirque-inspired live performance combines gravity-defying acrobatics, industrial dance, and high-energy live drumming in a dynamic show that’s new for the summer season.

  • The Return of the Shamu & Crew Parade
Guests can once again enjoy the beloved Shamu & Crew Parade, which brings colorful floats, lively performances, and fan-favorite characters to the streets of the park.

  • Bands, Brew & BBQ
Running weekends from July 5 through August 24, this popular summer event features live concerts, craft beer, and savory barbecue dishes throughout the park.

  • Rescue Tails at Seaport Theater
Back by popular demand, Rescue Tails shares real stories of animal rescue and rehabilitation, featuring live animals and showcasing SeaWorld’s ongoing conservation mission.

  • Baby Shark’s Big Celebration
From June 30 to September 2, families can join Baby Shark’s Big Celebration, which includes a new mini live show, themed treats, and meet-and-greets with Baby Shark and Pinkfong.

Additionally, starting June 14, emperor penguins will make their debut in the park’s Antarctica Realm near Penguin Trek. SeaWorld notes this addition will make the park the only place in the Western Hemisphere where guests can view these iconic Antarctic birds.

With new rides, live shows, animal encounters, and enhanced nighttime entertainment, SeaWorld Orlando’s Summer Spectacular offers a wide range of experiences for visitors of all ages. Guests are encouraged to check SeaWorld’s official website for the latest show schedules and attraction details.
