A taste of European holiday traditions is coming to Central Florida as Krush Brau Park hosts Weihnachtsfest & Christkindlmarkt on November 21–22. The two-day Christmas market will bring German holiday food, handmade gifts, festive music and seasonal decorations to the Portal Immersion Center in Kissimmee.
Running from noon to 10 p.m. both days, Weihnachtsfest will recreate the atmosphere of a traditional German Christmas market, giving visitors an opportunity to shop for holiday gifts, enjoy seasonal treats and experience European Christmas customs without leaving Central Florida.
Admission is free, but visitors must reserve a timed-entry ticket in advance. Food, drinks and merchandise will be available for purchase.
German Christmas Traditions Come to Central Florida
Christkindlmarkets, also known as Christmas markets, are a longstanding holiday tradition in Germany and other European countries. These seasonal markets typically feature vendors selling handmade crafts and decorations alongside traditional foods, warm drinks and live entertainment.
At Krush Brau Park, visitors can browse market stalls offering handmade crafts, ornaments and holiday decorations while enjoying the festive setting, complete with twinkling lights and garlands.
The market will also feature a traditional Christmas pyramid centerpiece and a nativity scene. Visitors can take photos with St. Nikolaus, adding another holiday tradition to the experience.
German Holiday Food, Glühwein and Live Entertainment
Food and entertainment will be central to the Weihnachtsfest experience. The event’s menu will feature German holiday favorites, including bratwurst, pretzels, gingerbread, roasted nuts and other Christmas sweets.
Visitors can also enjoy Glühwein, a traditional German mulled wine served warm and flavored with spices. The seasonal drink is a familiar feature of European Christmas markets and offers a festive option for adults attending the event.
Throughout the market, carol singers and brass bands will provide live entertainment, bringing traditional Christmas music to the celebration.
