As the new school year approaches, Men’s Closet—an established urban clothing store in Central Florida—is partnering with its non-profit arm, MC Community Care, to host a free community event aimed at helping local families prepare for the academic year.

The “Back 2 School Backpack Giveaway” will take place on Sunday, August 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Men’s Closet, located at 5510 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808. The event is free and open to the public.

Families attending can expect a wide array of giveaways and activities, including:

  • Backpacks and essential school supplies

  • Personal hygiene kits for children

  • Free food and refreshments

  • Free haircuts

  • Face painting, balloon animals, and a gaming truck

  • Music and live entertainment

  • Community workshops and local vendors

Men’s Closet has been a family-owned and operated business for more than 30 years, known not only for its exclusive clothing, footwear, and accessories but also for its ongoing commitment to community engagement. Through MC Community Care, the company has organized numerous outreach efforts, including annual Turkey Giveaways, Christmas Toy Drives, and Back-to-School events.

This year’s backpack giveaway is designed to ease the financial burden on local families while also fostering a sense of unity and support. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited.

Please note: Tickets do not guarantee a backpack. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to one backpack per child. Children must be present with a parent or guardian to receive supplies.
