This July, Keep Orlando Beautiful is joining the global initiative Plastic Free July, a worldwide movement that encourages individuals and communities to reduce their reliance on single-use plastics. Organized by the Plastic Free Foundation, the campaign aims to inspire millions of people around the globe to be part of the solution to plastic pollution—leading to cleaner streets, healthier oceans, and more sustainable communities.

Encouraging Local Participation in Plastic Free July

Residents across Orlando are encouraged to take the challenge by refusing single-use plastic items throughout the month of July. Suggested swaps include ditching plastic water bottles, to-go cups, and shopping bags in favor of reusable alternatives.

Community involvement is at the heart of the campaign. In addition to individual commitments, Keep Orlando Beautiful is hosting a series of local events that promote plastic-free living while engaging the public in fun, educational experiences.
