Ignite Your Independence Day: Guide to Fireworks & Festivities

Get ready, Central Florida! This Fourth of July weekend is filled with fireworks displays, live music, family-friendly fun, BBQ, and a sense of community spirit. From lakesides to downtown, there’s a spot for everyone to celebrate with patriotic splendor. Here’s a rundown of star-spangled festivities and where to find fireworks near you:

Events + Fireworks:

  • Winter Park’s 4th of July Celebration: Held on July 4, from 8:30 AM to 11 AM at Central Park and West Meadows in Winter Park. Listen to live music, a patriotic performance, a kids’ zone with carnival games, bounce slides, balloon artists, Kona Ice, and an annual bicycle parade.
  • Morse Museum Independence Day Celebration (Winter Park): On July 4, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art offers free admission. From 1 PM to 4 PM live music will be played in galleries where pieces of American history are featured like a baseball signed by Babe Ruth and a cream jug created by Paul Revere.
  • City of Apopka July 4th Celebration: Enjoy live music by Private Stock Band who will be playing a range of Top 40 Motown, Classic Rock, Latin, Country and special artist tributes. Various other activities will be available as well as food and craft vendors. Fireworks will begin around 9 PM.
  • July 4th Celebration (Downtown Avalon Park, Orlando): Experience the annual Fourth of July Celebration in downtown Avalon with a Bike Parade around Avalon Park to kick off the festivities. The event features community performances, vendors, a bounce park, and Apple Pie Bake-off, and fireworks at 9 PM.
  • MusicWORKS Independence Day (Orlando): On July 3, from 6 PM to 10 PM at MetroWest Golf Club, this celebration features live music, food trucks, vendors, and fireworks. The live entertainment will feature SWITCH, an 80s and 90s tribute band based in Orlando, plus a 20-minute firework show.
  • Baldwin Park Independence Bash (Orlando): This event is a community street party with live music and fireworks at 9:15 PM on July 3, from 6 PM to 10 PM at Harbor Park.
  • Fireworks at the Fountain (Orlando): Celebrate Orlando’s 150th anniversary at the 48th annual Fireworks at the Fountain at Lake Eola Park. Enjoy live entertainment, family fun, food, and beverages from 4 PM to 10 PM on Friday, July 4 with fireworks lighting up the sky at 9:10 PM.
  • 4th of July Celebration (Tavares): The City of Tavares will have its 4th of July Parade and Fireworks on Friday, July 4. The event runs from 4:45 PM to 9:30 PM and includes live entertainment by The HOOTZ, a patriotic poem competition, pie contest, and family friendly zones. The parade is along Main Street.
  • Rockin’ Freedom Fest (Winter Haven): On July 3, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, this event includes music, children’s activities, food trucks, a free water ski show by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski team, and a fireworks show.
  • Red, White & Kaboom (Lakeland): Celebrate Independence Day downtown at Lakeland’s annual event on July 3 at Lake Mirror. Enjoy live music starting at 6 PM before the fireworks display at 9 PM.
  • Red, White and BOOM! (LEGOLAND Florida Resort, Winter Haven): On July 4 and 5, experience a 3D LEGO fireworks display with 3D glasses that turn ordinary fireworks into exploding bricks. The event also features themed activities and DJ dance parties and is available with tickets and select passes to LEGOLAND.
  • Thunder on the Ridge (Haines City): Head to Lake Eva Park on July 4, for live music starting at 4 PM, followed by Polk County’s nominated premium fireworks show. There will also be arts, crafts, food vendors, and a beer garden.
  • Lakeland Flying Tigers 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular: Catch the Flying Tigers annual Independence Day fireworks extravaganza on July 4, at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. Game time against the Dunedin Blue Jays is at 5 PM, followed by fireworks.
  • Auburndale 4th of July Fireworks: Enjoy a dazzling display of fireworks at Lake Ariana on July 4 from 9 PM to 10 PM.
  • Bartow 4th of July Extravaganza: An all-afternoon celebration on July 4  from 2:30 PM to 10 PM at Mosaic Park & Bartow Civic Center. Featuring a bounce house, inflatable games like football and baseball, Kona Ice and PJ’s BBQ, rock wall, Giant Jenga, face painting, and a fireworks display at 9:10 PM.
  • Davenport 4th of July Celebration: Join the City of Davenport for live entertainment, food vendors, and a fireworks display at 9:15 PM at Lewis Mathews Sports Complex on July 4, from 3 PM to 9:45 PM.
  • Dundee 5th of July Celebration: The Town of Dundee hosts its annual celebration on July 4, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM at the Dundee Community Center. There will be food, games, bounce houses, live music, and fireworks at 9 PM.
  • Party in the Park & Fireworks 2025 (Winter Garden): A fireworks display over Lake Apopka at Newton Park on July 4, 2025. Festivities begin at 6 PM with live entertainment, family activities, kids’ arts & crafts, face painting, jugglers, food, and merchandise vendors. The fireworks display starts at 9:15 PM. Downtown Winter Garden will also be decorated patriotically from Memorial Day through Independence Day Weekend.
  • Monumental Fourth of July (Kissimmee): Held at Kissimmee Lakefront Park on July 4, from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, featuring live bands on the Festival Lawn, kids’ activities, a DJ booth, food trucks, glow giveaways, and a grand fireworks finale around 9 PM.
  • City of Clermont Red, White & Boom (Clermont): Head to Waterfront Park, Clermont, on July 4, from 7 PM to 10 PM for food trucks, live music, a bounce house, and lakefront fireworks.
  • 4th on the Lake (St. Cloud):  Lakefront Park will host this event on July 4, from 5 PM to 9:30 PM, including a kid’s bike parade, an all-American car show, a corn hole competition, and fireworks.
  • 2025 Independence Day Spectacular (Celebration): Celebration Town Center will host an Independence Day Spectacular on July 4, 2025. The event will include performances by local musicians, DJ City Beat and Audio Exchange, starting from 5 PM until 10 PM with an intermission for fireworks at 9:20 PM.  

5Ks:

  • Advent Health Freedom 5K (Clermont): This 6th annual event on Friday, July 4, begins at 7:30 AM in Downtown Clermont. The course starts at City Hall and finishes at Suncreek Brewery with excitement during the race and custom running tanks for each participant. Tickets range from $35- $50 per person but a virtual option is also available.
  • Advent Health Freedom 5K (Winter Park): Kick off your Independence Day with a healthy start. Track Shack Events organized a patriotic 5K on Friday, July 4, at 7:30 AM starting on Park Avenue. After crossing the finish line, participants will cool off with ice-cold watermelon. The event also features a Kids’ Run and a watermelon eating contest.
