The Altamonte Baseball Academy (ABA) celebrated another historic victory after their 12U All-Stars team clinched a back-to-back U.S. title in the National Youth Baseball Championships. The team’s performance resulted in earning the title of 2025 Cal Ripken World Series U.S. Championship, which solidified their spot as one of the top teams in the world of youth sports.
The 2025 season marks the team’s fourth consecutive appearance at the championship, building on their legacy that includes second-place in 2022, third-place in 2023, and the Cal Ripken 11U World Series Championship in 2024.
Competing in a new age division against a field of 42 high performing teams from around the globe, the ABA proved themselves from the start. These young athletes dominated pool play with a perfect 3-0 record, and outscored their opponents by a margin of 35-2.
Their momentum carried into bracket play, where they continued to deliver decisive victories. The team’s resilience was on full display in the U.S. Championship game, where they edged out the Central Ozarks, Missouri squad in 2-1 contest. This win led them to the World Series final, where they secured their place as the undisputed U.S. Champions.
The team’s success seemed to be a testament to both their collective effort and standout individual performances. Players were recognized with multiple honors, including Player of the Game accolades for Fernando Moncada, Colten Rollett, Graham Camara, and Cooper Harris. Graham Camara and Levi Merritt were named to the All-World Series First Team, and Fernando Monocada was celebrated with the prestigious Gold Glove Award. The full roster, a group of skilled and determined individuals, includes Adrian Arcano, Graham Camara, Yhosiah Diaz, Cooper Harris, Grant Kuchinski, Chase Lewis, Owen Lind, Levi Merritt, JR Miller, Fernando Moncada, Colten Rollett, Liam Rustand, and Luke Stephenson. The 12U team was also led by manager Ken Kelly and a coaching staff including Justin Harris, Steven Lannini, and Kevin Stephenson.
