On New Year’s Eve, families can take part in three early countdowns at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m., making it the perfect event for those with little ones who may not make it until midnight. Each countdown will be accompanied by a spectacular light display, music, a live DJ, and fun games that will keep the whole family entertained.

The Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild features a breathtaking 3/4-mile path around the Zoo, where guests can marvel at dozens of larger-than-life, handcrafted lanterns. The Central Florida Zoo will be open for regular hours on December 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but the special evening hours from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. will allow guests to experience the festival’s nighttime magic and early New Year’s Eve festivities. The Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild continues through January 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on select nights.

Tickets for the event are $24.99 for general admission. However, families can save 20% on a Family 4-Pack, priced at $80. Annual pass holders can also enjoy a discount, with single tickets available for $21 and Family 4-Packs for $72. For the best rates and to secure preferred dates and times, guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online. Tickets are available for timed entry, and exclusive food and beverage items will be available for purchase during the event.
