Happy Holidays

When I was looking for a photo to include in this month’s letter, I went straight to my mom in search of the one and only photo of my sister and me with Santa Claus to go along with the reveal of our Best Santa Snapshots Contest winners. See the story on page 12. Since we were terrified of Santa as kids, she was sure this photo didn’t exist. While I remembered seeing it on the refrigerator for years, my mom’s memory of mall visits at Christmas time was sheer panic when it came to the jolly old man in red sitting in front of the festive tree near the food court. With a lot of persistence, she went in search of it and the photo was found. So here you have it folks, little Lyndsay and my twin sister, Christie, with the big guy himself. We’re only showing subtle signs of nerves; my sister is twirling her hair like it’s no big deal and I’m picking at Santa’s glove. We were trying to play it cool though. While this photo probably wouldn’t win any contests, I still think it’s pretty cute. I loved looking through all of your Best Santa Snapshots Contest submissions, especially the Santa-pet photos. I wonder what our first place winner will think when he’s older knowing that he slept through his first meeting with Santa. Our second place winners are sure to be embarrassed by their photo shoot with Santa, but I love their adorable elf shirts. Our third place winner looks pretty confident that he’ll be getting everything he asked Santa for on the day of their meeting. With the year coming to a close, the entire staff of VS Media Group, Inc (home of Central Florida Lifestyle Publications) and I wish you the merriest of Christmases, the happiest of Hannukahs, and a happy holiday season. No matter how or what you celebrate, we hope you enjoy the time you have together with your families.
