The Allen Asylum Haunted House

For 20 years, Matt and Amy Allen have transformed their home into an elaborate Halloween experience for the community.

What began as a family tradition has grown into The Allen Asylum, a full-scale residential haunted house that welcomed approximately 1,400 visitors in 2025 and raised more than $3,000 for local school programs.

For 2026, the haunt returns with an all-new theme:

THE ALLEN ASYLUM: SCHOOL FOR THE INSANE

Guests will step inside a twisted, abandoned school filled with disturbing classrooms, eerie hallways, a principal’s office, and plenty of unexpected surprises and characters!

The entire attraction is built at the Allen family’s home with help from neighbors, volunteers, and local businesses.

Admission is free, with voluntary donations benefiting The Kindness Project, which supports programs promoting kindness, inclusion, connection, and student leadership in local public schools.

The initiative grew from the Allen family’s work with Palm Lake Elementary School and is expanding in 2026 to help bring similar programs to other schools.
