On Sunday, Feb. 8, the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime show will be put on by Latino artist, Bad Bunny in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Popular among the Latino community, he will showcase his talent on stage for this much anticipated performance.
The halftime show is expected to be one of the largest halftime performances in history as Bad Bunny is singing his entire setlist in Spanish. Bad Bunny is expected to perform feature hits from his 2025 project, “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” and tracks like “Baile Inolvidable.” This halftime production will be heavily Latin-focused produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, with Hamish Hamilton directing.
The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most watched television broadcasts in the United States with 133.5 million viewers for Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 performance.

With the current political climate of America, people on Instagram seemed to have different opinions on Bad Bunny being the choice. Despite this, many Latinos expressed their pride in having their culture represented in a time of hostility and violence towards people of color in the United States.
Bad Bunny is currently the most-streamed male artist in the world and continues to stream music regardless of the discrimination happening in America.
In celebration of the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny plans to drop merch called “Super Tázon” that will be available after the half-time performance. The drop will include hoodies, t-shirts, hats, and keychains all featuring the words “Super Bowl.”
Bad Bunny is also the first headline show act to perform mainly in Spanish. Donald Trump’s critiques of Bad Bunny performing told New York Times it’s “too crazy”. In response, Bad Bunny posted on Instagram to Trump and said “The World Will Dance” regardless of what Trump has to say.
Even though The Trump Administration is threatening to send ICE agents to Levi’s Stadium, Bad Bunny is expected to focus his energy on having fun and making a powerful statement against prejudice.
Fans have continued to show their support and have rallied for Bad Bunny’s performance for the halftime show. More than 74 percent of Democrats showed their approval for the 2026 halftime show and 63 percent of Republicans said they do not approve of this upcoming performance.
Bad Bunny performing at the halftime show has been told he’s controversial due to him speaking out against ICE and Trump’s comments about immigrants.
From creating vibrant music to standing up to the negativity, viewers can expect this year’s halftime performance to be reflective of Bad Bunny’s message as a person of color and as an artist.
