The Sun Blaze Elementary PTA is inviting Central Florida residents to bid for a cause with the launch of its 2026 Community Silent Auction, an online fundraising event designed to connect local businesses with families while supporting educational programs and enrichment opportunities for students.

The auction will run Aug. 3 through Aug. 14, and is open to the public through the Sun Blaze PTA’s online fundraising platform. Community members can browse and bid on a variety of donated experiences, gift cards, attractions, dining packages and unique offerings, with proceeds benefiting Sun Blaze Elementary students.

According to the PTA, the initiative was created to strengthen partnerships between local businesses and the school community while raising funds for programs and resources that enhance the educational experience.

“This community-driven initiative brings together local businesses, attractions, restaurants, tourism organizations and families to support programs, resources and enrichment opportunities for Sun Blaze students,” the organization said in its announcement.

In addition to raising funds, the silent auction gives businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services to thousands of families in the rapidly growing Lake Nona area. The PTA is continuing to seek donations from businesses willing to contribute experiences, products, services, travel packages, gift cards and other auction items.

The online auction is open to anyone, allowing supporters to participate from anywhere while helping fund programs that benefit students throughout the school year.

Sun Blaze Elementary has experienced significant growth alongside the Lake Nona community and now serves nearly 1,200 students, making it one of the largest elementary school communities in the Orlando area. As enrollment continues to increase, the PTA says community support plays an important role in creating meaningful opportunities for students and families.

The 2026 Community Silent Auction has already attracted donations from several well-known Central Florida businesses and attractions, including Universal Orlando Resort, Fun Spot America, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Brevard Zoo, Crayola Experience Orlando, Island H2O Water Park, WonderWorks Orlando, Urban Air Adventure Park Hamlin, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, 4 Rivers Smokehouse, and Canvas Restaurant & Market, along with many other community partners.

“We are excited to bring our school and community together in a new way,” said Desiree Brown, vice president of fundraising for the Sun Blaze Elementary PTA. “Our goal is to create meaningful partnerships that benefit our students while giving businesses an opportunity to connect with the families and community members they serve.”

Beyond the silent auction, the PTA also offers a Community Sponsor Program, providing year-round marketing and engagement opportunities for businesses interested in supporting the school while building relationships with local families.
