The Reverie Set to Replace Winter Park’s Chez Vincent After 28 Years

Winter Park’s longstanding French restaurant Chez Vincent will serve its final meals on Sunday, December 21, closing a chapter on nearly three decades of traditional French cuisine in Hannibal Square. The space will soon be reinvented as The Reverie, a new restaurant concept slated to open in Fall 2026.

Chef Vincent Gagliano and his wife, Teri, who opened Chez Vincent 28 years ago, announced their retirement and the sale of both Chez Vincent and Hannibal’s Lounge earlier this year. The couple has invited guests to stop in for one last toast this Sunday.

Taking over the space is Chef Brandon McGlamery, a two-time James Beard Award nominee credited with shaping much of Winter Park’s contemporary restaurant scene. He has been a leader on projects such as Luma on Park, Prato, and Luke’s Kitchen + Bar. The Reverie marks his first independent restaurant concept since parting ways with Park Lights Hospitality at the start of 2025.

The new concept is described as a refined yet approachable American brasserie that blends classic technique with ingredient-forward cuisine. The name, The Reverie, is “reverent, yet something different – respectful and playful – or deep in a pleasant lost thought,” said McGlamery to Tastychomps

Design plans to transform the former space into a warm, textured area complete with a full bar and a cellar-inspired private dining room. The beverage program is expected to highlight classic cocktails with seasonal twists and a wine list curated from both new and old.

As Chez Vincent’s last service approaches, community members have a final opportunity to revisit a familiar favorite before the space begins its next chapter. Regardless, this is a space shaped by the region’s most recognized chefs and a vision of divine culinary pieces.
