Tuesday, July 28 marks National Water Park Day, and The Grove Resort and Water Park invited us to celebrate. With summer ending, the resort wanted to highlight one last getaway before school starts.

When we arrived, we checked into the front desk, where they gave us a rundown of the day’s activities. The staff then escorted us from the resort to the water park.

When we arrived, security checked our bags, and then we were allowed entry. There, we were taken to the cabanas they had, which housed a TV, couches, a cooler, and lounge chairs that were outside of the tent to soak up the sun. We took a dip in their pool, where it was not too crowded.

After drying off, we made our way to the Longboard Bar and Grill. We went to their bar and asked for Thai Coladas and Mango Dragonfruit Coolers. Not long after, the food was ready with fall-off-the-bone brisket, corn bread, fish tacos, and more.

We may not have waited the understood 30-minute rule after eating before we went to their water slides that turn into the lazy river. The water park offers two slides that are neither intense nor long, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves on the ride down. Since we were already there, we went a few rounds around the lazy river, which proved relaxing.

We made our way back to the cabanas where we were informed that the tours of the new condos the resort was debuting were available. The condos offer a two-or-three bedroom suite. We toured the three-bedroom option, which also came with three baths, a washer and dryer, a living room, and a kitchen stocked with many utensils to be used. They will be going for $200-500 per night.

We concluded our day with the arcade across from the water park, where we played classic and more modern arcade games, as well as mini golf.

If looking for a staycation or getaway, the resort is offering exclusive discounts for Florida and Georgia residents HERE.
