Bad Bunny made his powerful entrance to the big stage on Sunday, Feb. 8, for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime show, in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This anticipated performance marked the charts for the Latino community as the most culturally diverse halftime performance of all time.

Bad Bunny’s halftime show was loaded with symbolism of cultural storytelling. This artist made history by being the first musician to perform entirely in Spanish and using props that represented his heritage and culture.

The halftime show started with Bad Bunny traveling through fields of grass, revealing hardworking field workers.

In Puerto Rico, the land is filled with crops for the community to grow and to feed their families. Bad Bunny incorporated the good times in his halftime performance by showcasing the life Puerto Rico brings.

The focus changed when Bad Bunny climbed onto an electric pole, symbolizing the power outages of Puerto Rico and its susceptibility to natural disasters. Bad Bunny sang “El Apagón,” translating to “The Power Outage,” and about the governments of America and Puerto Rico.

Tońita, the owner of the Caribbean Social Club, made a special appearance during the halftime show. Bad Bunny fundraised to help Tońita’s business stay alive and celebrated the release of his album “Un Verano Sin Ti” at her social club.

The set design throughout the show was meant to be straight for Puerto Rican communities. Showcasing the colors Puerto Ricans wear, the activities they do, and the way they live their life so freely.

Bad Bunny’s set list included: Tití Me Preguntó, Yo Perreo Sola, EoO, VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR MONACO, Die With A Smile (Salsa Version), BAILE INoLVIDABLE, NUEVAYOL, LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii, El Apagón, CAFé CON RON, impact, and DtMF.

President Trump made his feelings clear about Bad Bunny being the choice for the Super Bowl, but Trump fired back, calling this halftime show a “Slap in the face to our country.”

Regardless of the hate comments received from the President, Bad Bunny continued to celebrate his heritage along with community and family at the Super Bowl halftime show.

The inspiration of this halftime was unique and showed the balance of two worlds coming together while fighting for unity in songs with the United States.

The only line Bad Bunny used in English during the halftime performance was to simply say, “God Bless America.” Meaning that all nations of Central, South, and North America should work together to bring peace and stability for communities to prosper together.

Not only was Bad Bunny the featured artist of the halftime show, but showcased other Latino celebrities such as Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Young Miko, and Pedro Pascal.

Bad Bunny closed out his powerful performance with the community holding different flags of every country in the Americas. A billboard appeared behind Bad Bunny that said, “The only thing more powerful than hate is love.”

Bad Bunny’s performance was brilliant in allowing the Latino community to perform alongside him and show the world that working together to stop hate can make a difference in our lives.
