Viva Aerobus is set to strengthen international air travel from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) with the launch of a new non-stop route to Orlando International Airport (MCO). Beginning November 20, the new service will operate three times a week — on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays — providing travelers in the Mexico City metropolitan area with a direct, affordable connection to one of the United States’ most popular tourist destinations.

This new Orlando route is part of a broader expansion by Viva Aerobus, which includes seven new U.S. routes from AIFA, aimed at enhancing cross-border travel while offering some of the most competitive fares in the market. With this addition, Viva continues to grow its footprint at AIFA, helping the airport reach 38 total non-stop routes in 2025 — up from 29 the previous year.

Orlando, home to world-renowned theme parks and entertainment attractions, is a top destination for Mexican travelers. Viva’s new route is expected to boost both tourism and business travel between central Mexico and Florida, providing a cost-effective alternative for families, tourists, and professionals alike.

““We are thrilled to continue building our hub at the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). With 38 direct routes, nine of them international, Viva is now the best option for flying from Mexico City, thanks to our modern fleet and the lowest fares in the market. Passengers can also accumulate points in our Doters loyalty program, the most generous in Mexico,” Javier Suárez, Viva’s Executive Vice President of Strategy and Planning said in statement.

Flights are now available for booking on the Viva Aerobus website and through authorized travel agencies.
