On Tuesday, April 21, Quest Inc. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its new campus that will support children, teens and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

The new facility, Quest Kids Orlando, is 16,000-square-foot and located in downtown Orlando at 500 East Colonial Drive. The campus will provide both school and therapy services through Quest Kids Academy and Quest Kids Therapy. Housing both services in the same facility can make it easier for families to access important resources according to the Quest Inc. press release.

Quest Kids Academy focuses on foundational core academics, life skills, and employment readiness. Quest Therapy focuses on helping children with life skills and social development. The opening of the new campus is to support the increasing demand for support among children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

While graduation and special education services rates in Florida in 2025 were higher than the national average, 7.2% of students diagnosed with autism in Florida have faced at least a one-day suspension for disciplinary action according to Autism Speaks. That was higher than the national average, which was 5.3%; indicating how schools manage autistic students’ behavior.

“This is more than a new building; it’s a commitment to our community that we’re here to help families as the instances of autism continue to increase,” said John R. Gill, President and CEO at Quest, according to the Quest Inc. press release. “At Quest Kids Orlando, our building finally matches the world-class service we’ve been offering Central Florida for over twenty years.”

The opening of Quest Kids Orlando is a continuation of the collaboration between Dr. Phillips Charities, which was the first donor to Quest in 1966 according to the press release.
