Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex has launched a new official podcast, We Choose to Go to Kennedy, offering listeners a behind-the-scenes look at the U.S. space program straight from one of its most historic launch sites.
Recorded on-site at Kennedy Space Center, the podcast is designed to deepen public connection to space exploration by sharing insider perspectives, personal stories, and up-to-date developments in human spaceflight. Hosted by members of the visitor complex’s communications team, each episode blends history, innovation, and firsthand accounts from those shaping the future of space travel.
“Inspiring curiosity and connecting the public to space exploration is at the heart of everything we do,” said Howard Schwartz, interim chief operating officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. “We are always looking for new and different ways to deliver timely, engaging news about space, and this podcast allows us to take audiences behind the scenes, sharing stories, insights, and experiences that bring the space program to life in an entirely new way.”
Beyond deep dives into space history and technology, We Choose to Go to Kennedy also highlights special events, exhibits, and experiences coming up at the visitor complex.
The latest episode features Derrol Nail, a longtime NASA launch commentator, who discusses the highly anticipated Artemis II mission, which is the next step in NASA’s effort to return humans to the Moon. Previous guests have included veteran astronauts Winston Scott, Mike Foreman, and Ellen Ochoa, as well as prominent space historian and collectSPACE.com founder Robert Pearlman and Dr. Luis Quiroga-Nuñez, director of the Ortega Observatory.
