Recognizing Those Who Give Back

More than not, we get caught up in purchasing gifts, preparing big meals, planning for travel, or visiting family and friends during the holiday season. However, we need to take the time to remember what is really important and give thanks for all we have received and accomplished, as well as recognize those who have helped us along the way.

This month, the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce will host the Celebrating Local Charities Luncheon, where local non-profit organizations that provide services and assist those in need will be recognized. The President/CEO of Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Brent Trotter, will be the guest speaker for this exciting event. A select number of local non-profit organizations that are either located or that serve in East Orange County have been invited to display information about the organization. Participating non-profits include Doglando, Harbor House of Central Florida, Autism Society of Greater Orlando, Coalition for the Homeless, and Magic Curtain Production.

Make plans to attend this event on Wednesday, November 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stoney’s Restaurant at Stoneybrook East Golf Club. Thanks to our sponsors, Women’s Family Law Firm, Marriott and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts of Orlando, and Stoneybrook East Golf Club. Once again, an extensive Thanksgiving Buffet will be provided.

For registration and more information, please visit www.eocc.org or contact the chamber at 407-277-5951.
