The Orlando City Council has officially approved À La Cart to manage Art² (Art Squared), a new pocket park set to open this fall at the corner of Orange Avenue and Robinson Street. The council’s unanimous decision on July 14, 2025, marks a significant step toward activating downtown Orlando with more vibrant, community-centered public spaces.
Backed by the City of Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency, Art² is designed as an innovative urban park that blends culinary offerings, local art, and flexible programming. The space aims to foster community engagement and support downtown revitalization efforts outlined in the Downtown Orlando (DTO) Action Plan, which envisions the city as “An Awesome Outdoor City.”
À La Cart to Lead Operations
À La Cart—well-known for curating food truck experiences and community events—will oversee daily operations at Art². Their responsibilities will include managing a rotating lineup of food vendors, operating an on-site café and craft beverage station, programming community events, and maintaining the modular and adaptive park space.
A Hub for Art, Culture, and Cuisine
Art² is set to become a unique destination where food, art, and social interaction intersect. Visitors can expect:
Rotating food trucks and culinary vendors offering diverse, locally sourced menus
A craft beverage station featuring local brews and refreshments
Modular seating and flexible design elements to accommodate a variety of gatherings and performances
Arts-focused programming that highlights Orlando’s vibrant creative scene
A major visual highlight of the space will be a new public mural by Sitki Dogan, a South Florida-based artist celebrated for his immersive 3D street art. His mural will serve as a signature feature of the park and is expected to attract both residents and visitors.
Supporting Downtown Revitalization
Art² is part of a larger movement to reimagine Orlando’s public spaces and enhance quality of life through outdoor experiences. The park aligns with strategic downtown development goals to increase foot traffic, support local businesses, and celebrate the city’s artistic identity.
More details on Art²’s programming schedule and mural unveiling will be released in the coming weeks.
As anticipation builds for its fall debut, Art² is poised to become a central gathering space in the heart of Orlando—where creativity, cuisine, and community come together.
