Goodwill’s New Partnership Makes Reselling Furniture Easier

In a bid to streamline the process of donating home goods and furniture in Central Florida, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) has forged a new partnership with Resupply, a veteran-owned and operated company specializing in pickup services for furniture, appliances, and other household items.

Resupply simplifies the donation process by offering pickup services for interested donors, who pay a nominal fee for Resupply haulers to visit their homes, remove the items they wish to donate, and deliver them to a local Goodwill center. Any items not selected by Goodwill are then distributed to other local charities.

Ed Durkee, president and CEO at GICF, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re always looking for ways to make the donation process easier and more accessible for our community. Not only does this service do all the heavy lifting – literally – for our donors, but it also provides jobs for veterans trying to re-integrate into the civilian workforce. Goodwill is proud to partner with Resupply to make the donation of larger household items easier and support our military members in the process.”

Resupply has already facilitated the transition of hundreds of veterans from active duty to civilian life. With GICF’s involvement, 80 of the 154 Goodwill organizations across the country now collaborate with Resupply to offer this convenient service.

In the span of seven years, Resupply has generated over $20 million in value for charities through donations from 150,000 households, diverting more than 25 million pounds of material from landfills.

Paul Tocci, Co-Founder and CEO of Resupply, expressed his pride in deepening the partnership with Goodwill Industries, stating, “The vision of Resupply is to revolutionize charitable giving in America. Every day, we strive to make giving ‘simple’ and to provide the most convenient donation experience possible. It is an honor to partner with one of the most influential charities in the country, and we look forward to providing a new avenue for donors to support the incredible mission of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida.”

Furthermore, Goodwill provides comprehensive training opportunities for veterans, aiming to assist those with disabilities, homelessness, or other special needs in developing employability skills and becoming self-sufficient.

To schedule a pickup with Resupply, donors can call (407) 857-0659 and select the “Donation Pickup” option, or visit www.GoodwillCFL.org for more information.

This collaboration between Goodwill Industries of Central Florida and Resupply not only simplifies the donation process for households but also contributes to job creation for veterans and supports the admirable mission of Goodwill in aiding individuals in need within the community.
