Baldwin Park ER: Your Neighborhood Emergency Room

Baldwin Park ER, a department of Oviedo Medical Center, is now open to serve Orange County residents when they need it most.

Baldwin Park ER: Your Neighborhood Emergency Room

When construction began on Baldwin Park ER, a department of Oviedo Medical Center, in June 2018, the idea was to create a freestanding emergency department to provide around-the-clock, comprehensive care for adult and pediatric patients. Almost a year later, the facility is celebrating its opening this month.

Located at the southeast corner of Hanging Moss Road and N. Semoran Boulevard, Baldwin Park ER, a department of Oviedo Medical Center, is a 10,358-square-foot, one-story facility that was designed to provide high-quality, convenient emergency healthcare services to the growing number of residents in Baldwin Park and surrounding communities in northeast Orange County. It will operate as a full-service emergency room, providing 24/7 emergency care as well as diagnostic imaging services, and is expected to serve more than 10,000 residents in Baldwin Park and the surrounding areas each year.

“Oviedo Medical Center is thrilled to expand its high-quality care and services in our community,” says KC Donahey, CEO of Oviedo Medical Center. “This facility will help provide faster and more effective emergency care to thousands of residents in Orange County.”

Baldwin Park ER nurses hold all of the same advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support certifications, including ACLS and PALS, as the nurses at the main emergency department at Oviedo Medical Center. The facility is ideal for patients who have acute emergency health issues that are too severe to wait for a regular doctor’s office hours.

“When you’re experiencing a medical emergency in the middle of the night or when a health issue arises after your regular doctor’s office has closed, we will be here for you,” says Dr. Garrick Collins, lead physician at Baldwin Park ER. “Our staff is highly trained to handle any situation and we are dedicated to helping patients get back to living healthy lives.”

Melissa Begg, manager of Baldwin Park ER, adds, “We’re looking forward to serving our neighbors in this community. Orange County residents can count on Baldwin Park ER to be their lifeline when they are experiencing a health issue that needs to be addressed immediately.”
