Tequila lovers and those looking to learn more about the spirit will have a new opportunity to sip, savor, and explore at Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar in Waterford Lakes.
The Orlando restaurant will host its Grand Centenario Tequila Dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m., marking the return of Fat Rosie’s tequila dinner series and the first tequila dinner hosted at its Waterford Lakes location.
Located at 749 N. Alafaya Trail in Orlando, Fat Rosie’s will bring together chef-crafted dishes, tequila-forward cocktails, and pours from Grand Centenario for an evening centered around Mexican-inspired food and tequila.
Throughout the dinner, Fat Rosie’s culinary team will pair each course with tequila-forward cocktails while introducing guests to the flavors and characteristics that make each pour unique. The experience is designed for both tequila enthusiasts who want to expand their knowledge and guests who may be newer to the spirit.
Rather than simply enjoying a meal, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about tequila and how different flavors and pours complement food.
A Chicago Beginning With Mexican Inspiration
Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar traces its roots back to Chicago, where the concept was founded in 2015. The restaurant’s story was inspired by a trip to Mexico, where the Chicago-born founder met an agave farmer who worked the fields alongside his longtime donkey.
The donkey had been part of the farmer’s family for more than two decades and left a lasting impression on the founder. That experience ultimately inspired the restaurant’s name and its focus on Mexican-inspired food, tequila, and a festive atmosphere.
Since its opening, Fat Rosie’s has grown throughout Chicagoland and expanded its Taco & Tequila Bar concept to other communities, including Central Florida.
The Waterford Lakes location brings the restaurant’s take on ModMex™ food and fiesta to Orlando, pairing Mexican-inspired dishes with an extensive tequila-focused experience.
