Event Details

United Against Poverty is bringing awareness to the food insecurity that many children face during the summer by asking the community to enjoy a #SelflessSummer while participating in its 10-20-30 Challenge. Participants of the challenge will pledge to volunteer for 10 hours, raise a minimum of $20 and collect 30 non-perishable food items for the Orlando UP Center, which serves low-income and working poor families. Those who complete the challenge by August 13 will be awarded a t-shirt, with top participants earning a unique canned good trophy.

This kickoff will include a cookout, games and an “arCANtecture” contest to build a creative structure out of donated canned food items. Those who bring the most non-perishable food items will have the opportunity to do the “CANnonball Dive” into a pool of JELL-O!

United Against Poverty is asking the community to come together and pledge their support for the 10-20-30 Challenge by signing up at www.selflesssummer.eventbrite.com.
