Orlando Science Center Hosts $15 Day this Weekend

On Sunday, April 13, the Orlando Science Center will offer visitors the opportunity to explore its exhibits and programming at a reduced admission price. $15 Day provides access to the center’s full range of experiences for $15 per person—a rate that is more than 50% lower than the standard adult admission price.

This one-day event includes access to four floors of exhibits, films, and live programming. Tickets are limited and available for advance purchase online.

Featured Exhibits and Programming on $15 Day

Top Secret: License to Spy

This interactive exhibit introduces visitors to the science behind espionage. Participants can examine real-world spy tools, solve puzzles, and engage in hands-on experiments. The exhibit also includes information on the role of espionage throughout history and its evolving technologies.

The Life Exhibit – One Year Anniversary

The Life Exhibit marks its one-year anniversary with a variety of displays featuring animals and ecosystems. Visitors can observe species such as sloths, turtles, birds, and squirrels while exploring environmental themes from ocean habitats to rainforest canopies. The exhibit is presented by Dr. Sarah Layton.

Guest StoryTime with Jessica Jane Robinson

At 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM, environmental educator Jessica Jane Robinson will host a StoryTime event featuring her characters, Resilience and Baby Resilience. The session focuses on environmental topics including waste reduction, sustainability, ocean conservation, and climate education, with an emphasis on community engagement and environmental stewardship.

Great Outdoors Weekend Activities

In addition to indoor exhibits, the event coincides with Great Outdoors Weekend, offering a variety of outdoor-focused activities:

  • Terrarium building in The Hive

  • An Outdoor Scavenger Hunt near KidsTown

  • Gardening demonstrations by Hospitable Harvest

  • A tour of an eco-friendly Tiny Green Home

These activities are designed to introduce visitors to nature-based STEM concepts and sustainable living practices.
