The Electric Mayhem is bringing its signature rock ‘n’ roll energy to the holiday season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will receive a festive holiday overlay from November 4 through January 6.
The seasonal experience transforms the attraction into a holiday concert featuring four holiday-inspired songs, appearances from familiar Muppets, and a new Audio-Animatronics character making his debut inside G-Force Records.
A Holiday Concert With The Electric Mayhem
Inside G-Force Records, Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot and Lips are preparing for a holiday performance when, naturally, things don’t go exactly as planned.
The experience follows the band as they work through their holiday preparations, with other Muppets stopping by along the way. Meanwhile, festive music will fill the area surrounding the attraction’s iconic guitar marquee, setting the stage for the holiday-themed ride experience.
One of the biggest additions is Scooter, who makes his first-ever Audio-Animatronics appearance as part of the attraction.
Created using motion-capture technology based on the original Muppet performer, Scooter helps the band manage the unexpected challenges of putting together their holiday show. He works alongside penguin audio technicians to redirect the Electric Mayhem from their jam session and get them ready to perform for an audience.
Four Holiday Songs Join the Ride
The holiday overlay also adds four songs to the attraction’s soundtrack, including collaborations with Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper.
Guests will hear:
- “Holiday Road” with Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” with Jennifer Hudson
- “Silver Bells” with Cyndi Lauper
- “Little Saint Nick”
The new soundtrack gives the Electric Mayhem’s high-energy performance a holiday twist as guests make their way through the attraction.
A New Muppet Labs Ride Vehicle
The holiday experience continues once guests board the ride in the rear alley next to Studio C.
There, they encounter the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object, or L.I.M.O., an advanced vehicle engineered by Muppet Labs. The vehicle becomes part of the chaotic journey as the Electric Mayhem’s holiday plans unfold.
Together, the updated music, new character, and Muppet Labs technology create a seasonal version of the attraction that combines the original ride experience with a new holiday storyline.
When to Experience the Electric Mayhem Holiday Overlay
The Electric Mayhem holiday overlay will be available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista from November 4 through January 6.
For fans of The Muppets, the seasonal experience offers a chance to see the Electric Mayhem in a new setting while experiencing holiday music, familiar characters, and new Audio-Animatronics technology as part of the attraction.
