It is natural to want to go out and spend time with friends, but inevitably decide not to because there’s somewhere to be the next morning. But when an Earlybirds Club event comes to Orlando on Saturday, Oct. 3, waking up in the morning is guaranteed. The evening event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is described as “A Dance Party for Ladies Who Have Sh*t To Do In The Morning.”
Whether a mom with two kids or a student pursuing a degree, Earlybirds Club allows anyone, especially women and gender-expansive individuals, to have fun at a reasonable hour. Earlybirds promotes a safe space for all, music from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, and no regrets about spending a night out.
Jill Schaffer is one of the Orlando Ambassadors for Earlybirds Club who visited an event while she was in a book club with other women. When she attended her first Earlybirds Club event, Schaffer quickly understood how magical a night like that was.
“I was amazed at how many women that first night that I didn’t know, and I was dancing with. We were clearly from the same generation and just connecting and going, ‘this is fantastic,’” Schaffer said. “It sounds kind of sappy when you’re not in the moment, but it’s so powerful and so real when we’re all there together.”
Alongside being an ambassador, Schaffer is a licensed mental health counselor and co-founded a program she calls “women-to-women.” Schaffer and her friend host women’s support groups, workshops for women, and stress management. As an ambassador now, Schaffer has the opportunity to see how these events have an effect on the attendees.
“Whether you come alone, and a lot of women do come alone, and end up making friends there, or you grab your bestie or a group and go out, it’s just a really nice way to go out, have fun, dance, not worrying about people trying to pick you up, and the club vibe of having to look too sexy,” Schaffer said. “You’re just there, having a good time being yourself.”
Ten percent of each ticket for this event will be donated back to the Susie Lee Legacy Fund, which is a cause named after one of the co-founders of Earlybirds. After passing away in August 2025 from breast cancer, the other Founder, Laura Baginski, created this foundation to fund organizations helping women, gender-expansive people, and communities “that need it most.”
Some of their signature cocktails include the Mom-Mosa, a mini La Marca Prosecco bottle and a splash of juice; one named after The Outsiders character Sodapop Curtis, which is Tito’s vodka, soda, and lime; and Out of Office Into Margarita, which is Casamigos tequila, Triple Sec, and lime juice.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, Earlybirds Club will be at The Social from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring a DJ and some signature cocktails.
Tickets are $40, and dancing is a must for the entire night.
