JetBlue and Brightline Launch Integrated Air-and-Rail Booking for Travel Across Florida

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) and Brightline, the only privately owned and operated intercity passenger rail service in the U.S., have launched a new partnership aimed at streamlining travel throughout Central and South Florida. For the first time, JetBlue customers can book Brightline train tickets directly on jetblue.com as part of a single itinerary, simplifying connections between major cities such as Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

The collaboration is designed to offer a seamless booking experience for travelers combining air and rail. Customers flying into or out of Florida can now pair their JetBlue flights with Brightline train segments in one reservation.

“As we continue to grow in Florida and offer more flights to and from cities like Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando, our partnership with Brightline helps us deliver even more value and convenience to our customers,” Dave Jehn, vice president, network planning and airline partnerships, JetBlue said. “JetBlue and Brightline share a commitment to innovation and great service, and together we’re expanding transportation options for all of our customers to get to where they want to go, whether they’re starting their journey, heading to their final destination, or adjusting plans along the way.”

Brightline connects travelers to six Florida cities: Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. The Orlando station, located at Orlando International Airport (MCO), enables easy transfers between flights and rail. In South Florida, Brightline also provides airport shuttle service to and from nearby stations, included in JetBlue air-and-rail bookings for added convenience.

As part of the partnership, customers flying JetBlue’s Mint® premium service can be matched with Brightline’s Premium class, while those booking core seating will be paired with Brightline’s Smart fare.

“We are proud to partner with JetBlue to enhance connectivity throughout Florida,” Barbara Drahl, senior vice president of marketing and commercial strategy at Brightline said. “This partnership enables travelers to book a single ticket for both air and rail, offering a fast, reliable, and eco-friendly rail transportation option while seamlessly connecting to JetBlue’s extensive network.”

The agreement also offers added flexibility during travel disruptions. JetBlue can now provide itineraries that incorporate Brightline rail as an alternative transport option when flights are delayed or impacted, helping maintain continuity for passengers during irregular operations.

Travelers can expect a comfortable onboard experience with Brightline, featuring spacious seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, and convenient access to major Florida destinations.
