White Castle®, the nation’s first fast-food hamburger chain and the original creator of the iconic Slider®, is set to open its second freestanding Florida location in Clermont. The new “Clermont Castle” will officially welcome guests at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12.

Located at 4551 Collina Terrace within the Plaza Collina development near State Road 50 and Plaza Collina Boulevard, the new 3,220-square-foot restaurant will offer a mix of indoor and outdoor dining along with convenient drive-through service. The location will provide indoor seating for 72 guests, outdoor seating for 56, and two drive-through lanes where team members will hand-deliver orders to vehicles.

The Clermont Castle reflects White Castle’s modern-industrial design, which blends updated aesthetics with the brand’s signature hospitality.

“The Clermont Castle reflects White Castle’s commitment to satisfying cravings with hot and tasty affordable food,” Jamie T. Richardson, Vice President at White Castle said in a press release. “It’s our way of saying thank you to the citizens of Clermont. We can’t wait to open our Clermont Castle and continue to fulfill our vision to feed the souls of craver generations everywhere.”

The opening event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and feature White Castle President and CEO Lisa Ingram—a fourth-generation family member—alongside company leaders, development partners, local elected officials, and invited guests. Following the ceremony, the public is invited to be among the first to enjoy the new location once the grills start sizzling at 9 a.m.

“Our Clermont residents are craving for the opening of White Castle,” Mayor Tim Murry said. “We are grateful to the White Castle team for bringing 75 new jobs and continued growth to our area.”

The Clermont location builds on the popularity of White Castle’s flagship Orlando Castle, which holds the title of the world’s largest freestanding White Castle and ranks among the top-performing locations across the company’s more than 340 restaurants nationwide. The brand also operates an inline location behind the Orlando Castle for delivery and grab-and-go service, and plans are underway for a third freestanding Florida restaurant in Kissimmee’s Old Town Entertainment District.

Founded in 1921, White Castle remains a family-owned business dedicated to delivering flavorful, affordable food with a focus on quality and customer experience. Menu favorites available at the Clermont Castle will include The Original Slider®, Crave Clutch, Chicken Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, and more—all served in a contemporary setting designed for comfort and convenience.
