Gov. Ron DeSantis was sent a bill on Thursday proposing a four-mile stretch of road in Palm Beach County be named “President Donald J. Trump Boulevard,” just miles away from the president’s estate.

House Bill 987 was passed in the spring legislative session, including a number of road designations throughout the state. The bill is now waiting to be approved by DeSantis.

If signed into law, the road name could change as early as this summer.

Along with other road designations, the bill would also rename part of West South Street in Orlando as “Geraldine Thompson Way,” honoring the Democratic state lawmaker who died in February.
