Orlando Fringe Festival returns to Loch Haven Park, Downtown Orlando and points in between on May 14-27, 2024. Orlando Fringe is a 14-day immersive cultural experience featuring over 1,000 ticketed performances spanning a wide array of genres, such as dance, spoken word, musicals, comedy and much more. Free festival highlights include the Outdoor Stage music festival, Visual Fringe art on display throughout festival grounds and Kids Fringe play and entertainment for the young and young-at-heart weekends May 18-19 and May 25-26.
The festival unites local, national and international artists with the Central Florida community, creating a uniquely diverse arts experience. As the longest-running Fringe theatre festival in the United States, Orlando Fringe is founded on being: 100% uncensored, 100% unjuried, 100% accessible, 100% inclusive and 100% of all tickets go directly back to the artists. The theme for this year is “Get Fringed”.
Anchored in Loch Haven Park, the festival features venues at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, Orlando Family Stage and the Orlando Museum of Art, plus Fringe ArtSpace in Downtown Orlando on historic Church Street. BYOV’s (“Bring Your Own Venues”) this year include returning venues Renaissance Theatre Company, The Starlite Room @ Savoy and Stardust Lounge, new venue CityArts, along with various site-specific venues chosen by artists.
This year’s festival marks the popular return of Outdoor Stage theme nights on a brand new stage provided by OPAV and the hit late-night show offerings part of Fringe After Dark that include Fringe The Afterparty, Flashlight Cabaret, The Afters and Musical Mondays. Digital and printed programs continue, and Fringe is proud to now offer increased shuttle services between venues with two running shuttles and Sun Rail.
“The time has come to officially Get Fringed!” says Orlando Fringe Executive Director Scott Galbraith and Festival Producer Tempestt Halstead. “We are thrilled to welcome back the most uniquely talented artists from around the world and the most incredibly dedicated arts loving community to experience what continues to be the best festival ever. So, grab your button, your friends and your family, and get ready for two memorable weeks of amazing new and returning festival favorites, shows, art, activities and more.”

Giacomo Casanova is arguably the world’s most legendary womanizer, but he was also an intellect, a gambler, and a scofflaw – all the right character traits around which to design a lusty ballet, which is exactly what choreographer Kenneth Tindall has done. Tindall, a former principal dancer is a Freelance award winning Choreographer and Director specializing in Narrative Dance. His Casanova offers a larger-than-life ballet experience like none other thanks to opulent dance underscored by sexual tension generated by composer Kerry Muzzey’s attention-grabbing music. Guest Conductor Julian Pellicano returns to lead Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra as it performs live music for this production.

The Silver Spurs Rodeo is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a year-long celebration honoring its enduring legacy and deep roots in Osceola County. Since the first chute opened on July 4, 1944, the Silver Spurs Rodeo has become an iconic event, symbolizing the hardworking ranchers of Florida and the close-knit fabric of its fans and founding members.
The Silver Spurs Rodeo’s history is intertwined with that of Osceola County, preserving the region’s traditions of rodeo, ranching, and citrus production. Beyond entertainment, the Silver Spurs Riding Club has continually given back to the community, contributing nearly $100,000 to non-profits since 2020 alone.
The 153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo presents dirt-pounding action this summer for two evening rodeos. Fans will be treated to seven traditional rodeo events: bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, women’s barrel racing, steer wrestling, and team roping. Unique to the June rodeo performances, there is junior barrel racing, junior bull riding, and a special appearance by the Junior Silver Spurs Quadrille, which will feature teenagers performing a square dance on horseback at the Silver Spurs Arena. Plus, one of rodeo fan’s favorite events, mutton bustin’ (also known as sheep racing), returns to the arena in between the rodeo action
“The Silver Spurs Rodeo will be celebrating 80 years this July, and it’s all thanks to our volunteers, fans, and the whole community. They are the heart and soul of the Silver Spurs Rodeo. This 80th anniversary is all about celebrating them. We’re pulling out all the stops to make the events this year unforgettable, bringing you the best of rodeo, celebrating where we’ve been, and getting excited about where we’re headed,” said Sara Berlinsky, Big Boss of the Silver Spurs Riding Club. “The 153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo will kick off the summer and will introduce the traditional rodeo events that our guests are used to seeing, but also the 153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo will highlight our youth who will kick off summer break during the performance in front of a live crowd.”
At the 153rd Silver Spurs Rodeo, the Silver Spurs Riding Club will donate to the Boy & Girls Club of St. Cloud and Safety First PediAquatics. Donations to further support the Silver Spurs Riding Club’s community efforts are being accepted online.

When they visited the camp last year, Sean Creech Motorsport (SCM) hoped to jump start the sports car world’s attention back toward Camp Boggy Creek, a Eustis, Fla.-based stay camp started by Paul Newman and General Norman Schwartzkopf for children with serious medical illnesses.
Since the camp opened in 1996, they have hosted nearly 100,000 campers and family members, giving kids the chance to experience life alongside others who are dealing with the same situations – allowing them to be just regular kids for a week. The camp relies upon donors and sponsors, keeping the camp free for families.
On June 13, the SCM team will once again bring its pair of Ligier sports cars to the camp, entertaining the kids and handing out hats. It’s our chance to give the kids just one more thing to look forward to.
