We are looking forward to the 10th annual Fall Festival at Southern Hill Farms! What fall adventure would be complete without mouth-watering apple cider donuts, jolly Jumbo Jack carving pumpkins and s’mores around the fire pits? Tickets are required for this event. Admission tickets must be purchased online in advance for all guests ages 3 and older. Payments are not accepted at the farm. Admission tickets give you access to all activities during the event. Children 2 and under are free and do not need an admission ticket to enter. This event will be held in honor of all veterans. All veterans that have served in any military campaign or branch in honor of our nation’s freedom are invited to attend for our community to pay tribute to their dedicated service to our country.

At 9:30 a.m., the public is invited to visit with organizations that offer resources specifically for veteran needs. At 10 a.m., the official program will begin with musical tributes, anecdotal speakers, presentations of Quilts of Valor, and recognition of veterans according to the various military branches served.

The Together in TEAL walk brings the community together to raise awareness of ovarian cancer, honor survivors, celebrate the lives of those lost and support caregivers. The event aims to turn activism into action, building momentum in the fight against ovarian cancer while offering connection and encouragement to all who participate. Registration is required.

The 36^th Seniors First Turkey Trot 5K will take place Thursday, November 27 at 8 a.m. at Lake Eola Park. 

All runners, joggers, and walkers are welcome to join this family-friendly event in support of local Orlando seniors. Guests will have fun participating in the “Race to End Senior Hunger”, with the opportunity to win the finisher medal.

The HBCU Hoops Invitational is positioned as a legacy basketball invitational exclusive to HBCUs men’s and women’s programs providing a multi-day tournament experience. This inaugural event is taking place December 4-7, 2025, in Orlando, Florida at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports.

This prestigious national basketball invitational is designed to illuminate and elevate Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the lens of competitive athletics, education, and cultural celebration.

The HBCU Hoops Invitational is a non conference, pre-season basketball tournament exclusive to HBCU women’s and men’s basketball teams. Through the basketball tournament we look to offer significant support to scholar-athletes throughout their collegiate journey by furnishing scholarships and vital resources, while also spotlighting and celebrating women’s contributions to collegiate sports.

“We are excited about the opportunities to bring thrilling, family-friendly events to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and this HBCU Hoops Invitational adds to our lineup of high-caliber youth and college events,’’ said Jorge Senior, Disney’s Director of Sports Planning and Development.

THE VISIONARY
Haywoode Workman, the visionary behind the HBCU Hoops Invitational, boasts a remarkable career trajectory marked by athletic prowess and trail-blazing achievements. Selected as a second-round pick in the 1989 NBA Draft, Haywoode embarked on an illustrious journey that saw him play eight seasons in the NBA and the CBA.
