For nearly a century, Orlando Family Stage has been creating theatre that brings people together. While our focus today is on empowering young people through the arts, our history includes productions for all ages. In 2026, as we celebrate our Centennial, and in partnership with Writer’s Block Bookstore, we’re proud to launch the very first Florida Children’s Book Festival: a statewide gathering of families, authors, educators, and artists who believe in the magic of children’s literature.
- Meet the Authors
- Interactive Experiences
- Performance on Stage
- Educator & Industry Connections
In collaboration with UCF’s MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences, Writer’s Block Bookstore, and WUCF, the festival becomes a movement to make books and theatre accessible for all.

You’re invited to join NextStep Orlando at our 16th Annual Walk-n-Roll-a-Thon happening Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.
NextStep Orlando, a non-profit organization, helps those paralyzed from a spinal cord injury, stroke, brain injury or other neurological disorders. We provide access to activity-based therapies that promote functional recovery and improve the health and quality of life for people living with paralysis.
This heartwarming event is the highlight of our year where we can showcase the hard work of our clients as they “walk” down the Red Carpet. It is truly breathtaking to see! Our clients come from Orlando and surrounding communities, as well as out-of-state and even internationally. Imagine hearing a client’s story of being injured (and told they were never going to walk again) as they are progressing down a Red Carpet in front of hundreds of cheering fans. This is definitely an event you won’t want to miss!!
