Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City will officially open April 16, offering guests a fully immersive expedition through the ancient Incan empire without leaving Orlando. Located at The Florida Mall, the experience invites visitors to explore a detailed digital reconstruction of Machu Picchu using advanced virtual reality technology.

The Orlando debut is a result of successful runs in cities across Europe, Asia, and the United States. It also builds the portfolio of immersive experiences from Fever, a global platform focused on making cultural and entertainment experiences more accessible through technology.

Developed in collaboration with immersive technology studio Virtual Worlds, the 45-minute experience combines large-scale free-roam VR with cinematic storytelling. Using drone mapping, LiDAR scanning, and photogrammetry, creators built a 3D version of the ancient city set against the backdrop of the Peruvian Andes.

Visitors can walk through temples, plazas, and terraces while exploring areas that are typically inaccessible to travelers, even at the real site. Organizers said the goal is to create both an educational and visually appealing journey into one.

A Guided Experience

Leading guests through the experience is “TERI,” a robotic companion voiced by actor Terry Crews. The character adds a modern and interactive element to the historical setting, guiding users through key moments and locations.

Along the way, guests can expect scenes like soaring above the Andes with condors or witnessing a rare solar eclipse. The experience concludes with a panoramic finale of the lost city.

Additionally, the attraction is designed for groups, making it suitable for families, friends, and visitors ages 10 and up. With an emphasis on collaboration, participants are encouraged to engage with the environment and each other.

With a mix of technology, storytelling, and exploration, Machu Picchu: Journey to the Lost City will become a unique addition to Orlando.

Tickets are available exclusively through the Fever website
