Universal Orlando Resort is turning up the magic with a spellbinding upgrade to its beloved interactive wand experience debuting the Second Generation Interactive Wands which went on sale on March 1, according to a news release.

The new interactive wands feature light effects, haptic feedback, and an immersive digital adventure within the Universal Orlando Resort App. Plus, with new spell-casting locations across Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the soon-to-open Ministry of Magic at Universal Epic Universe, there’s more magic to master than ever before!

Introducing Second Generation Interactive Wands

These aren’t your ordinary wands—Universal Orlando’s latest collection of interactive wands comes with next-level enchantments! Available in four unique designs, these wands boast:

  • Illumination Effects – Watch as your wand lights up to match the spell you cast.
  • Haptic Feedback – Feel the power of magic through subtle vibrations unique to each spell.
  • Exclusive Packaging – Each wand comes in a special case adorned with a wand burst icon.
  • Spell Map – Navigate the many spell-casting locations throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Spellcasting Goes Digital with Universal Play

A new era of interactive magic has arrived! With Universal Play, available in the Universal Orlando Resort App, guests can take their wizarding experience to the next level. Here’s how:

  • Personalized Wizard Profile – Choose your Wizard Name, Hogwarts House, Avatar, and even your Patronus for a completely customized journey.
  • Exclusive Adventures – Test your magical skills with special quests designed to increase your Wizarding Level.
  • House Points & Leaderboard – Earn points for your Hogwarts House and track your progress as you rise through the ranks. The highest-scoring house even wins the Daily House Cup!

New & Enhanced Spell Locations Await

The magic expands with five brand-new spell-casting locations in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, bringing the total number to 30. Here’s what’s new:

  • The Duelling Club Tent (Hogsmeade) – Bring a dueling dummy to life and test your spell-casting skills.
  • The Owl Post (Hogsmeade) – Mischievous pixies are up to no good! Freeze them with a well-aimed spell.
  • Knockturn Alley Staircase (Diagon Alley) – Conjure a Patronus to fend off a lurking Dementor.
  • Ariadne’s Spinners (Diagon Alley) – Banish an infestation of spiders from a bewitched window display.
  • Knockturn Alley Sky (Diagon Alley) – Control the stormy skies above or cast a counter-spell to calm them.

Existing spell locations are also receiving enhancements, including new visual effects, magical spellbooks to assist aspiring wizards, and more surprises to discover!

Epic Universe: A New Realm of Magic

When Universal Epic Universe opens, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will introduce 14 additional spell-casting locations. Guests can go on a journey to find the Philosopher’s Stone, interact with magical creatures like Nifflers and Demiguises, and uncover countless other mysteries.
