Westgate Resorts to Give 1,000 Military Families Complimentary Orlando Vacations

Westgate Resorts and the Westgate Foundation are bringing back their annual Military Weekend vacation giveaway for its 15th year, offering 1,000 military families complimentary Orlando vacations.

The event honors active-duty U.S. military members, veterans, and Gold Star families with a three-day weekend filled with entertainment, family activities, and resort amenities. 

A Weekend for Military Families

Military Weekend will feature live entertainment, seasonal activities, a historic vehicle display and demonstration, and an outdoor concert by Frequency Band. Families can also take part in resort games and a field day designed for guests of all ages. 

Attendees will have access to Westgate’s resort amenities, including water parks and pools, recreation centers, and dining options.

“We are honored to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this tradition of giving back to those who have given so much to our country,” said Jim Gissy, chief executive officer of Westgate Resorts. “Welcoming military families to the resort is a highlight for our team each year, and we are proud to provide a place where they can come together, connect with fellow service members, and create memories that will last a lifetime.” 

How to Register

Registration opens Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m. ET. Eligible participants can complete an online entry form to claim one of the 1,000 available vacation packages. 

Packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will remain available until all spots have been claimed. 

Each package includes a stay for up to four guests from Dec. 4–6. Room upgrades and extensions are available for an additional fee. 

Participants must provide proof of military service or Gold Star family status. New participants will receive priority, though previous recipients are also eligible to register.

Since the program began in 2013, Westgate says it has provided more than 30,000 complimentary vacations to military families. 

The Westgate Foundation’s efforts extend beyond Military Weekend through partnerships with veterans’ organizations, community outreach programs, and initiatives supporting veterans as they transition from military to civilian life.
