Orlando’s first spirit-free speakeasy is returning this Spring in New Smyrna Beach.
The once “Roaring Twenties” art inspired speakeasy “BANDBOX” was originally born in Orlando in July of 2022. The new BANDBOX Café & Taproom is a family hangout spot that will continue serving their non-alcoholic beverages and mocktails, but will now feature a larger space at 3,000 square feet, according to a press release from BANDBOX.
The revamped speakeasy will host live music, events, programs and alcohol free drinks to promote awareness about their brand. BANDBOX is also partnering with DaKine Hawaiian Kitchen.
The opening is only a start for BANDBOX to expand their ideas and culture in Florida from coast to coast; bringing its speakeasy back to the Orlando area in Fall 2027 and Tampa in Fall 2026.
The new Café & Taproom in New Smyrna Beach will add alcoholic based drinks for those who would still like to drink.
“We want our space to provide something for everyone and not limit the offerings to only one specific group,” said owner Kevin Zepf, in a press release from BANDBOX.
BANDBOX New Smyrna will serve coffee from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The taproom hours will be Wednesdays 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On days that the taproom is closed, an outdoor walk-up coffee service will be available for guests.
