The 97th Annual Academy Awards, held on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood highlighted the exceptional contributions of Full Sail University alumni. This year, 14 graduates played key roles in five Oscar-winning films across 11 award categories, showcasing their expertise in the film industry.

Full Sail University graduates contributed to a variety of winning projects, taking on roles such as Supervising Sound Editor, Content Protection Executive, Animator, Assistant Editor, and more. Their dedication and craftsmanship played a significant part in bringing these acclaimed films to life.

Among the projects that featured Full Sail alumni, Wicked earned recognition in categories such as Costume Design and Production Design, demonstrating the artistic expertise of the university’s graduates. Additionally, alumni contributed to the success of Anora, which secured wins in major categories including Writing (Original Screenplay), Film Editing, Best Directing, and Best Picture.
Full Sail’s Ongoing Influence in the Film Industry
This year’s Academy Awards also saw 47 Full Sail graduates credited on 18 nominated films across 21 categories, further solidifying the university’s reputation for producing skilled professionals in the film and television industry.
